With DHI you are a part of the DHI family! And that means we inspect your home as if it were our own family purchase. Using our professional experience, advanced training & technology we perform a visual, non-invasive inspection of the property’s systems, and components. We use this information to inform you of the true condition of the home at the time of the inspection. Our easy to read reports will indicate any systems or components inspected which may be deficient or at the end of its serviceable life. We will also report on the items in proper working condition.
In a nutshell DHI inspectors work their way through a residence operating each system and component of the home; evaluate performance under normal operating condition and report on the findings. To do this properly we like to schedule at least 2 – 4 hours. As you can imagine, this will depend on many factors such as; size, condition and features of the home.
While we can usually schedule an appointment within a day or two, we do tend to get busy quickly. Therefore, we recommend you schedule the inspection as soon as possible to stick to your inspection period.
The fee depends on a number of factors like the size and age of the property, if there are any additional features like a pool or crawlspace, or if there are additional inspections that are needed like a four-point or wind mitigation.
We always recommend that our clients be at the inspection, or at least come towards the end for a review of findings. Our report is very thorough but nothing beats seeing things in person if you can be there.
